Opening of the Green

Posted 12/4/21 The opening of the green has now been arranged for Sunday 18th April at 2.00p.m. Due to Covid restrictions there are limited amount of places available and, if not already done so, any request to participate must be made via the Secretary. Would you please note that spectators are not allowed.

Competitions

Posted 9/4/21 There is now a nomination sheet on the Club outside noticeboard for the following: Internal Pairs Competition based on last years set up i.e. 4 members per team. Vale Triples Gold Team – all those interested in playing please add your name to the list.

General Tidy Up

On Wednesday 31st March there will be a tidy up of the outside of the Club. All those able to assist should attend at 10.00a.m. Generally this takes just over an hour.

Memorial Day

Eight triple teams took part in the final Club competition of the season on Sunday. In third place was Dave Homans, second Tony Gensler and the winner was Bridget Cresswell.

Members Pairs Winners

The Bartlett team of Linda Ogg, John Anderson, Bob Hunn and John Martin won the inaugural members pairs competition. Eight teams competed playing each other once.

Falcons are Triples Champions

The Falcon team of Paul Dunkley, John Anderson, Dave Homans, Linda Ogg and Pat Morcombe became this seasons Triples champions. They won the title with ease winning their first thirteen matches and only losing in their final match by two shots.

Memorial Day

This years Memorial Day will be on Sunday 20th September 2.00p.m. Please put your name on the list on the outside Club noticeboard if you wish to participate. Teams will be selected on the day.

Federation Day Winners

On Sunday 31st August fourteen pairs competed for the Joe Newnham Federation Cup. The afternoon consisted of five matches of six ends per game with the overall shot difference deciding the winners. Members Outdoor Leagues

With over half the league season gone the latest triples table shows the Falcon team top of the table unbeaten in all nine matches played. In second place is the Dove team with six victories. In the pairs competition the last two weeks matches have been affected by the weather.
